After purchasing an Ipad (and loving it), it hasn't taken too long for me to come up with a new project. With all the success of the ios (iphone, ipad, ipod touch operating system) and android operating system, "apps" have become quite popular. So with that I've decided to design and build my first web app!

At the beginning of any project, you rely on your process. You gather the clients requirements, objectives, and all other necessary parameters. Then, you do some research and begin sketching out some ideas based on all of your requirements and research. But what happens, when there really are no client requirements, objectives, etc.? It's just you the designer and a blank canvas.

The band SingleSpade is an independent band that writes and plays their own music. They play gigs on Long Island and NYC at various venues, but are looking to increase their exposure and increase their chances of being picked up by a record label. Their only online presence had been a myspace page, but having an official website would give them much more credibility. As well as a place to show news, tours, bios and have their music for their audience to listen.

NYC Fire Chiefs Association is a professional organization for Fire Chiefs of the NYC Fire Department. All of their communications were through meetings and printed newsletters sent through the mail. We worked together to bring them into the digital age and help them bring their community together online.
